Please follow these guidelines when submitting artwork to the Art Board for our Artists of the Month Wall.
Art should be done on appropriate paper. Paper should not be wrinkled, bent, or ripped. (thin canvases are also accepted)
Artwork should be your own original art. (No tv, video game, or toy characters & no cartoon drawings please)
Artwork should not have titles or names written on the Art. (your name may be written on the back of your artwork)
A Submission form should be filled out and paper clipped to the artwork and then placed in the large purple envelope outside the art room door. (Submission forms; pencils & paperclips are above the purple envelope)
Your artwork should be work that you are proud of and that shows that you took your time.
Artwork can be any size between 5” x 7” and 11” x 14”
Please submit only 1 submission per month, per person please.
Other Important Information: Mrs. Howes & the Art Board will select at least 2 works of art per grade, per month. (This is under the assumption that we will have many submissions per grade).
All artwork selected for Lyman’s Artists of the Month Wall will be put in a frame
and displayed above the couch outside of the office for a month.
All artwork NOT chosen will be hung on the corkboard doors inside the art room
for a month.
All artwork will be given back after the month is over and new pieces are selected.
BE CREATIVE and have fun!!!
Mrs. Howes & Lyman’s Art Board
This year's art board has been very busy. They have been working on illustrating some chosen literary board pieces and giving "Lyman" the Literary Lion a big time make-over (and will be ready to use again later this week)! The art board has also begun accepting works of art for submission to "Artists' of the Month". Chosen work will be framed on the wall over the couch outside of the office. February's theme was "Winter". We had a total of 10 submissions, but can hang up to 12. We are hoping for more entries next month. The theme for March will be chose on 2/12 during our next Art Board meeting.
